Our small business sprung from our lifelong interest in creating things with our hands. Our goal is simple – to share, with you, pieces that inspire us.
Sunbury County Creations will never be a big shop, turning out large volumes of product. That is not our goal. We intend to create unique and beautiful pieces, of high quality, that you will appreciate having in your home, giving as gifts, or using every day. We are a small, family enterprise, that is more “hobby” than business, and are quite content with this approach.
We hope you like what you see here. Please feel free to reach out
to us. We would love to hear from you.
For ordering product, we may be contacted at the email address listed in the "Contact Us" section. We can process payments through etransfer or Square. We are also working on providing links to Etsy for those who are more comfortable ordering through that application. If you cannot find our product on Etsy we can provide the link for you.
Brian runs the “Wood Shop” side of the business. His interest was largely passed down from his father, Bruce, who would have considered himself “Jack of All Trades-Master of None”. The Apple sure doesn’t fall far from the tree in this respect.
Over the years, DIY projects for the home and for the family developed into a particular interest in working with wood. This interest slowly turned towards crafting rather than larger building projects.
Today, Brian couldn’t be much happier than heading out to the shop, stoking up the wood fire, and making sawdust.
Brian’s goal with every piece is to make sure it is done as well as possible. It will not leave his shop unless he is more than satisfied. He hopes you feel that when you receive it.
It is very fitting that Trudy’s middle name, Rosina, comes from her Great-Grandmother. Some of Trudy’s earliest memories are of “Grammy Rosie” working away on a quilt, needlepoint or some other hand made project. This is surely where the love of needle and thread work began.
As a child, sewing buttons onto fabric led to needlepoint, latch hook and ultimately to Trudy’s love of quilting. Designing quilts and hand stitching most of these projects has been her passion for many years. It doesn’t stop there though. She also enjoys, making anything possible with fabric, as well as making cards, scrapbooks, etc. You will see all of these influences in her work.
Trudy hopes you will enjoy the selection of handmade items she has to offer. They have all been made with love and the utmost care.
Victoria handles marketing for Sunbury County Creation, a role that allows her to combine her professional expertise with a deep love for her family’s craft. Growing up, she could often be found lending Brian a hand with projects around the house, learning the value of hard work and attention to detail from an early age. Later, she discovered a creative passion for cross-stitching, following in her mother Trudy’s footsteps, helping her gain a deeper appreciation for the handmade projects she'd received over the years.
With a professional background in marketing, Victoria uses her skills to share her family's incredible work with you. She’s dedicated to ensuring others understand the passion and craftsmanship behind every piece Brian and Trudy create. For Victoria, supporting her family’s business is about more than just marketing; it’s about honouring the legacy of love and dedication that flows through their work.
